The Health Department of the Myanmar Union Mission (MYUM) successfully held the opening ceremony of the 30th Community Health Promoter Training Course (CHPTC) at Insein Church, located at 888, Nant Thar Kone Street, Insein. A total of 21 students have enrolled in this batch to be equipped for community-based health ministry.
The program began with an Opening Prayer by Dr. Htwe Lay, dedicating the event, instructors, and participants to God. This was followed by a Special Song presented by the CHPTC students, bringing encouragement and inspiration to those in attendance.
Pr. Ser Nay, Health Director of MYUM, delivered the keynote Message, emphasizing the importance of preventive health, compassionate service, and the growing need for trained community health promoters in society and the church.
After the message, Sayama Sandar Chit gave the remarks and introduced the CHPTC staff who will be teaching and guiding the students throughout the course.
A Special Prayer was offered by Pr. Kap Lian Thang, Ministerial Director of MYUM, asking for God’s blessing upon the students as they begin their training journey.
The ceremony concluded with a Closing Prayer by Sayama Cho Cho Paul, officially marking the start of the 30th CHPTC.
The Community Health Promoter Training Course continues to be a vital initiative of the MYUM Health Department, empowering individuals with practical health knowledge and Christian compassion to serve their communities effectively.
